Born on June 7, 1946, in Mexico City, Mr. Corral studied aeronautical engineering at the National Polytechnic Institute (IPN). He then joined Mexico's state-owned airline, Mexicana de AviaciĆ³n, in 1972, thus starting his distinguished career in aviation. Over the course of his tenure at Mexicana, Mr. Corral held several key operational roles, including serving as Chief of Engineering and Director of Maintenance. In 1988, he joined Mexico's General Directorate of Civil Aviation (DGAC) as Director General of Air Navigation Services, where he led the modernization and expansion of Mexico's air navigation system. Additionally, his role involved contributing to the development and implementation of national and international aviation regulations. In 2000, Mr. Corral was appointed General Director of Airports and Auxiliary Services (ASA), a Mexican government agency responsible for operating and maintaining the country's airport infrastructure. During his tenure, he oversaw the expansion and modernization of various airports in Mexico. A man of great experience, Mr. Corral has served as an instructor and consultant in civil aviation for various institutions, including the Mexican Air Force and the Latin American Civil Aviation Commission (CLAC).
